Sam Byram started at right-back for Leeds United during their 1-1 draw with Fulham.
Steve Evans has told Leeds United's official Twitter account, that he has loved Sam Byram ever since he arrived at Elland Road.
Evans immediately brought Byram back into Leeds' starting line-up for their match against Fulham, and the youngster put in his best performance of the season at Craven Cottage.
Although the match finished as a 1-1 draw, Byram still impressed the Leeds supporters, and Evans was delighted with the 22-year-old's display.
Evans hails Sam Byram's return: "I've loved him since I came in. He was fantastic tonight." #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) October 21, 2015
Byram fell out of favour under previous boss Uwe Rosler, with the German boss generally playing him out of position.
Byram was regularly used as a right-winger during the early part of the campaign, but he never looked comfortable in the role, and his form was below par.
However, Evans' decision to move him back to right-back certainly paid off yesterday evening, and Byram will be hoping to prove his class again, with a new management team at the helm.
Leeds' next match comes against Bolton Wanderers at the weekend, and they will be looking to pick up their first victory in five games during the contest.
