A goal from Chris Wood gave Leeds a draw against Fulham in London.
It has been a difficult few days at Leeds United but there appeared to be a silver lining last night as they
fought to a 1-1 draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
New Zealand striker Chris Wood scored the equaliser after Moussa Dembele had scored the opener for The Cottagers.
The result did not represent the performance as Leeds probably edged it. Were it not for Joe Lewis between the Fulham sticks then Leeds might have come away with an impressive away win.
Whilst Leeds fans have been disappointed with the departure of yet another manager under Massimo Cellino the images from the game in London seemed to suggest he was his usual tubthumping best on his Leeds debut whilst the fans were also happy to see him.
Some even decided to wear sombreros, in homage to Evans who dressed in such fashion for the final game of the Championship season last term.
Evans, as always, belied his physical stature on the sidelines. A bundle of passion and energy he us certainly different from the more reserved Uwe Rosler.
Hopefully this is the future under Evans and perhaps it can last a little longer than the more recent appointments at Elland Road.
