The young West Brom forward went all philosophical on social media.
Lesson learned was being blind means you have no sight, but it doesn't mean you have no vision. @WBAFoundation pic.twitter.com/TBDiUjVgcw

West Brom forward Saido Berahino went for an unusual training method with the West Brom foundation on Thursday afternoon, training... while blindfolded!
The 22-year-old took to Twitter with a philosophical quote about not having sight yet possessing vision while blind.
And Berahino certainly looked as though he was trying his best to function without the use of his eyes.
It'll be interesting to see what scientific data is used to justify the training technique. Could there be skills and reflexes it specifically helps develop?
West Brom fans should hope the club don't have that tactic in mind themselves, however, as having Berahino not hitting the back of the net right now would prove disastrous for the Midlands outfit.
2015/16 | Goals | Minutes Played |
---|---|---|
Saido Berahino | 3 | 485 |
James Morrison | 2 | 608 |
Craig Dawson | 1 | 810 |
Salomón Rondón | 1 | 617 |
As Opta stats show, Berahino has scored half of West Brom's Premier League goals already this season despite only having played 485 minutes (and infamously being taken off by Tony Pulis against Crystal Palace when his side needed a goal).
Where would the Baggies be without him!?
After Thursday's training session, a permanent question might be: how many more goals could a blindfolded Berahino score than some of his team-mates... without a blindfold?
