Young Liverpool centre-back Lloyd Jones has taken to Twitter to give the latest injury update following his ankle operations.
The 20-year-old suffered the setback while playing for loan club Blackpool and he has now uploaded an image of his leg having had the staples removed.
Jones is highly regarded at Anfield and while he is yet to make his first-team debut for Liverpool it should be only a matter of time considering his potential.
The young Englishman had been doing well for the League One club, making nine appearances for Blackpool and looking solid at the back, so the injury he suffered against Chesterfield was always going to be a huge blow.
That said Jones has shown his fighting spirit with his latest message, writing, “Staples out…ready for rehab,” along with the image of a bulging bicep.
Liverpool have a lot of talented young players coming through their ranks right now but new manager Jurgen Klopp will surely be made aware of Jones in due course, and from there anything is possible.
