Mousa Dembele looks ahead to Tottenham's clash with Anderlecht

The Tottenham Hotspur player is in great form right now.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has been speaking to the club’s official website about their upcoming clash with Anderlecht.

The two sides meet in the Europa League on Thursday evening with Tottenham currently top of Group J and Anderlecht bottom of the pack, but with just three points separating them everything could change in just 90 minutes.

Belgian international Dembele knows Anderlecht well, as do his countrymen Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, and the former has warned Tottenham to be at their best against their latest opponents.

“They have players who want to do well against Premier League teams so it will be tough for us,” Dembele told

“It’s a long time since I played against a Belgian team. It’s a bit of a strange feeling, but a nice feeling all the same.”

Dembele was simply outstanding for Tottenham against Liverpool at the weekend, bossing the midfield and looking every inch the player Spurs fans hope he can be on a consistent basis.

It remains to be seen if the 28-year-old can play with that intensity week in, week out, but if Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino starts him in his best position and allows him to do what he does so well, he could play a key role this season and beyond.
