Connor Wickham has played just three times for Crystal Palace since signing from Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
Connor Wickham has expressed on Instagram his delight at being back in Crystal Palace training, after stepping up his comeback from injury this week.
Wickham's progress at Selhurst Park has been halted due to his fitness issues since arriving from Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
However, it seems that the powerful forward is edging closer to full health, and he posted a message on social media site Instagram after training today, to show his pleasure at being back on the pitch.
Wickham has made just three appearances for Palace to date, but when he does get back to fitness, he should have a good chance of claiming a first-team spot.
Palace have failed to find a regular starting striker in Wickham's absence, with a number of players failing to seize their opportunity up front.
Wickham will be hoping that he shows better goalscoring form when he is given a chance, and it seems that he could be back in the squad in the near future.
Although Palace's next match against Leicester City is likely to come too soon for him, he could be involved when the Eagles take on Manchester United in a fortnight's time.
