The former England international will be hoping to thrive in Scotland.
In recent weeks Celtic have been running the rule over Carlton Cole. The former West Ham United striker was considered as the perfect option to help bolster the club's somewhat stringy striking options.
Celtic have been operating with just Leigh Griffiths, Nadir Ciftci and Anthony Stokes as striking options but the arrival of Cole on a free transfer will no doubt be a boost to the club's attacking options.
It has been a deal long in the pipeline, with talk of him heading to Celtic emerging several weeks ago. But the protracted deal has now been finalised and he is clearly happy to have made the move.
He sent out this tweet earlier today celebrating his new deal and making a couple of vows to his new fans at Celtic.
I'm so happy to have now signed for @celticfc. I will repay the support and kind words I have received with great performances & commitment— Carlton Cole (@CarltonCole1) October 22, 2015
The striker is not the most prolific of finishers but there is undoubted quality to his game. He has seven caps for England and his deceptive pace and hold-up play should see him worj really well with runners coming off of him at Celtic Park.
Hopefully he can get up and running as soon as possible at his new club.
