Carlos Carvalhal confirms Michael Turner and Modou Sougou will miss Sheffield Wednesday's match against Rotherham United

Sheffield Wednesday take on Rotherham United on Friday evening.

Michael Turner has been ruled out of Sheffield Wednesday's match against Rotherham United tomorrow with injury, Carlos Carvalhal has confirmed at a press conference covered by the club's official Twitter account.

Turner was not in the Wednesday squad which faced Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night, and he will not be risked on Friday evening.

Turner will be joined by Modou Sougou on the sidelines, after the winger picked up a nasty injury against QPR.

Clint Hill put in a robust challenge on Sougou, which led to him being stretchered off in the fixture, and he could miss a month's worth of action.

Despite Wednesday's injury problems, they will still go into their game against Rotherham with a lot of confidence.

The Owls are unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions, and they appear to be one of the most dangerous teams in the Championship at present.

At the moment, Carvalhal's men are sat in ninth place in the table, but they will move to within a point of the play-offs if they are able to beat Rotherham.
