Tottenham youngster Grant Ward sends message after 0-0 draw at loan club Rotherham

New York Stadium sign, Rotherham

The young Tottenham Hotspur player is currently on loan in the Championship.

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Grant Ward has taken to Twitter to comment on his loan club Rotherham United’s latest match.

The 20-year-old played the whole Championship game against Reading on Tuesday evening but he could not inspire his temporary side to victory, with Danny Collins cancelling out Nick Blackman’s outstanding opener for the Royals.

“Tough game tonight, team worked hard, thought we could have got more than a point out of the game, roll on Friday,” Ward wrote shortly after the match.

The young midfielder is yet to make his Tottenham first-team debut, but he continues to impress on loan after a similarly successful spell at Coventry City last season.

This time round he has featured nine times for Rotherham to date and he scored an absolute beauty in a recent clash against Burnley, before being crowned the Millers’ man-of-the-match on that occasion.

Tottenham have a number of exciting young players out on loan right now, along with those trying to break into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team this season, and Ward could go on to become one of the very best if he continues to work hard…and get some luck along the way.
