Tottenham Hotspur's brilliant summer transfer window of 2015

Tottenham Hotspur were cautious with their recruitment in the summer transfer window, but their spending appears to have been very prudent.

Tottenham Hotspur's summer transfer window in 2015 may be the first time in recent memory that they have avoided signing a dud.

Spurs have had an unfortunate habit of paying extortionate fees for players who have gone on to make little impact at White Hart Lane in modern times.

However, all of the Lilywhites' most recent transfers appear to have added value to their squad and, in this piece, we give a run-down on how the summer additions are getting on in north London.

Heung-Min Son

Son Heung-Min 9 15 6 84 61 7 149 3 218

Son is currently out injured, but his initial displays at White Hart Lane have been hugely encouraging.

The South Korean international's work rate has impressed, and he should have a big part to play for Spurs as the season progresses.

Clinton Njie

Clinton N'Jie 5 10 3 52 33 1 84 4 129

Most of Njie's performances so far have come as a substitute, and he appears to still be making the transition to English football.

The rapid attacker has still made a positive impression, though, and seems to have the skill and speed required to trouble defences.

Njie could be given a chance to prove that he can start for Spurs in the coming weeks, following an injury to Nacer Chadli.

Kevin Wimmer

Wimmer has generally been used as back-up in his time at Spurs so far, but he has shown he can perform to a high standard when called upon.

Kieran Trippier

Another player who is still trying to force his way into Spurs' line-up, Trippier has looked steady rather than spectacular to date in a Spurs shirt.

The former Burnley man has played second-fiddle to Kyle Walker so far, but he is starting to put pressure on the England international.

Toby Alderweireld

The Belgian centre-back has formed a brilliant partnership with Jan Vertonghen at the heart of the Spurs defence.

Alderweireld has proved to be reliable in possession, but also robust defensively, and he has made Tottenham a more solid outfit as a result.

Spurs have the joint-best defensive record of any team in the Premier League, and Alderweireld's form has been a major contributing factor to that.
