Reports in Turkey are suggesting how much Galatasaray will have to pay for the former Tottenham star.
This week has seen Turkish side Galatasaray admit they have been offered the chance to sign Emmanuel Adebayor on a free transfer.
Gala director Cenk Ergun recently told Bugun in Turkey:
"He's been offered to us and we're thinking about it."
Now the financial details of any potential deal for the controversial former Tottenham Hotspur striker have been unveiled.
The Turkish source Arca reports that Gala would be willing to offer the 31-year-old a deal for two-and-a-half seasons at a fee of around €2.5 (£1.8) million a season for him to become a Galatasaray player.
The report however claims that the striker is after a fee in the region of €3 (£2.2) million a season in order to head to Istanbul.
Adebayor was finally released by Tottenham Hotspur last month. The Togo striker had been told by Mauricio Pochettino that his services were no longer required at White Hart Lane – but failed to negotiate a move away from the club during the transfer window.
His release allows him to find a new club to begin his recovery from his Tottenham spell, but not a Premier League club. As Adebayor was still registered as a Tottenham player when the transfer window shut, he cannot join another Premier League team until January, which means reported Aston Villa interest must wait until the winter.
