Stefan Johansen has told The Scottish Sun that Molde stars Vegard Forren and Martin Linnes would get in to the Celtic team.
Celtic are back in Europa League action on Thursday, as Ronny Deila's side take on Molde in a crucial clash, especially after the Bhoys claimed draws against Ajax and Feyenoord.
It's a trip back to Norway for manager Deila, who left Stromsgodset for Celtic over a year ago, and he takes on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the former Manchester United ace being appointed as their manager for the second time earlier today.
Ahead of the big game, Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen has been speaking about the threat posed by Molde, as the Norwegian prepares to take on a number of his international team-mates.
Speaking to The Scottish Sun, Johansen noted how good Vegard Forren and Martin Linnes are - and believes both of them are good enough to play for Celtic.
"Of course, it will be tough to go to Molde and win, but for me it will be fun to meet so many friends," said Johansen. "Vegard Forren and Martin Linnes I know well from the national team. In addition I am good friends with Harmeet Singh and Fredrik Gulbrandsen and many of the boys there, so it is a special game for me. If I had to choose players from Molde who could get into the Celtic team, I’d pick Vegard and Martin. They have done well for Norway too," he added.
Centre back Forren, who had a failed spell at Southampton, has re-established himself back in Norway, and could have been an ideal replacement for Virgil van Dijk, who was sold by Celtic last month - but Deila went with Croatian defender Jozo Simunovic rather than his compatriot.
Similarly, right back Linnes would have been a sensible candidate for Celtic when Adam Matthews signed for Sunderland, but again Deila went with youth and potential in Saidy Janko.
Since failing with the move for Jo Inge Berget, Deila has avoided bringing in more Scandinavian players, but after Johansen's assertion that Forren and Linnes could get in the Celtic team, they will both be looking to prove their quality against the Bhoys.
