The Turkish international is highly rated by Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool Jurgen Klopp will no doubt be beginning to cast his mind forward to the recruitment of his own playing staff in the winter transfer window.
The German took over from Brendan Rodgers earlier in the month and will likely be hoping to add a few of his own faces to the already talented ensemble at Anfield.
But should he consider bringing back a former Liverpool loan flop?
The player in question is Nuri Sahin. When he was at Liverpool, on loan from Real Madrid, he struggled to have an impact at the club. He played in an advanced position which was criticised by many - including Klopp.
When Sahin left he thanked god that he was getting away from Brendan Rodgers - it was not a happy relationship between the pair.
But Sahin is a favourite of Klopp's. He brought him back to Dortmund after his Liverpool disaster and is a huge fan of his talents and ability in the midfield area.
It is a part of the pitch where Liverpool are relatively strong but Sahin would certainly add some true quality to the position.
He loved playing for Liverpool but simply did not have the right manager for him. With Klopp at the helm there is nothing stopping him from thriving.
Other than injury that is. Sahin is yet to play this season and is set to return from a knee injury next month. If he can prove his fitness then who knows? Perhaps another loan spell to Anfield beckons.
