Sofiane Feghouli is out of contract at the end of this season, meaning his future with Valencia has been placed in doubt, but he has spoken to Sport to play down any fears he may leave with two Premier League sides circling.
When asked if there were any doubts about extending his Valencia contract, Feghouli said: “No, because I've wanted to renew since 2014. My agent is negotiating and we'll reach an agreement soon. I'm happy here and I'm giving my very best as a professional.”
The Algerian international’s contract is up at the end of this campaign, and it was reported last week that his situation had been noticed by two Premier League sides.
Tottenham and Liverpool have reportedly been making contact with the attacker concerning a Bosman move for the 25-year-old, hoping to tie his services down in January before he makes the switch to England over the summer.
However, the winger himself has no intentions of leaving Spain, and has confirmed that talks between Valencia and his agent have started to tie up a new contract in the coming weeks.
Valencia have no desire to lose Feghouli, and it should be that his future is confirmed with the La Liga side in the coming days, despite the interest from Spurs and Liverpool.
