Report: Liverpool eye move for PSG youngster Odsonne Edouard

Liverpool are eyeing a move for Paris Saint-Germain youngster Odsonne Edouard, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

With Jurgen Klopp having recently taken over at Anfield, he is now scouring the market for players he can add to his new side.

That has led him to consider the talents of PSG youngster Edouard, with the Reds reported to have sent scouts to watch him in the French side’s youth ranks.

Their potential pursuit is boosted by the fact the 17-year-old has not yet signed professional terms with the French champions, and TMW reports that they are keen to take advantage of that hesitation by bringing him to England .

They will, however, face competition for his signature, with a number of Europe’s top clubs reported to be showing an interest in signing the youngster.

That interest has built after he shone at the U17 European Championships this summer - bagging eight goals in five games, including a hat-trick against Germany in the final to finish the tournament as top scorer.

With Edouard likely to have a number of options to consider, he may fancy a move to Anfield now that Klopp is in charge, as the German has a strong record of developing young talent.
