The Austrian international has impressed on the rare occasions he has played for Tottenham Hotspur so far.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer has posted a picture of himself in training along with teammates Dele Alli and Jan Vertonghen.
The Austrian international posted the image on his official Twitter account along with the brief message, “Work.”
Tottenham were preparing for their Europa League match against Belgian club Anderlecht on Thursday and if Mauricio Pochettino’s side win they could start to pull away at the top of Group J having already defeated FK Qarabag and drawn with AS Monaco.
Wimmer made his competitive Tottenham debut in this competition back in September and followed that up with an impressive showing against Arsenal in the Capital One Cup.
Since then the 22-year-old has had to make do with a place on the bench at best but such is his talent that he deserves a chance against Anderlecht later this week.
He is clearly putting in the work in training and with at least one of Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld potentially due for a rest, what better time to give Wimmer his third game in a Tottenham shirt?
