Michael Owen believes Bayern Munich beat Arsenal tonight.
The Gunners enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 win against Watford on Saturday evening, with goals from Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey giving Arsene Wenger all three points at Vicarage Road.
Now though, Wenger's men must turn their attention to the Champions League, and they face their biggest challenge yet following a torrid start to their campaign.
Defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the first game of the group stage was bad enough, but then to be defeated by Olympiakos at home, Arsenal's hopes of making the knockout stages have taken a beating.
This time, it's Bayern Munich who are standing in Arsenal's way, with Pep Guardiola's side heavily fancied to make it three defeats from three in the Champions League this season.
Now, pundit Michael Owen has had his say on the game, and whilst he has told Bet Victor that the battle between Alexis Sanchez and Robert Lewandowski will be key to the outcome of the game, he believes Bayern will ultimately run out as winners at the Emirates Stadium.
"A game some will see as a showdown between two of the most in-form strikers on the planet with Alexis Sanchez (ten in his last six for club and country) going head-to-head with Robert Lewandowski (fifteen in his last seven)," said Owen.
"Having lost their first two games in the group the Gunners have left themselves a mountain to climb if they are to make the knock out stages. This exceptional Bayern side have made a magnificent start to the Bundesliga season and have won on their last two visits to the Emirates; I expect them to land the hat-trick," he added.
