Manchester United have tough opponents in Europe this week.
Louis van Gaal’s side are currently second in Group B after losing to PSV Eindhoven and defeating Wolfsburg, but such is the nature of the group that all four sides are currently on three points apiece.
It is likely to remain tight but United will pull away if they can secure consecutive victories in their double-header against CSKA starting on Wednesday and ending early next month.
Not that it will be easy, however, and here we take a look at three CSKA players United must be especially wary of:
Ahmed Musa is a 23-year-old Nigerian international who is equally confident up front or on the left wing.
So far this season Musa has scored a very impressive 10 goals in 18 appearances and he could easily cause United’s defence plenty of problems.
Another goal-scorer who could easily make the difference is Seydou Doumbia who has scored 10 goals so far this season and who also has five assists in just 12 appearances.
With a quite remarkable 94 goals in 141 games for CSKA, Doumbia will have his eye on making a few more headlines this week.
A player United know very well, Zoran Tosic has played 189 games for CSKA, scoring 44 goals and providing 31 assists in the process.
This season the former United winger – who only ever made five appearances during his time at Old Trafford – has been practically an ever-present on the right wing and has scored four goals and set up seven more to date.
