Ian Holloway predicts Blackburn v Derby

Blackburn Rovers and Derby County will face each other in the Championship on Wednesday evening.

Former Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway has predicted on Skysports.com that Derby County will win against Blackburn Rovers away from home in the Championship on Wednesday evening.

The former Crystal Palace boss has backed the Rams to register a 2-1 victory over Rovers at Ewood Park.

“Having watched Derby on Sunday, I simply can't go against them,” Holloway wrote on Skysports.com.

“They were so impressive and are on a roll. I'm backing Chris Martin to score first too. He was brilliant against Wolves on Sunday.”

Derby will head into Wednesday’s match at Ewood Park on the back of a 4-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the iPro Stadium.

Paul Clement’s side are on a roll at the moment and have won their last three Championship matches.

The Rams are sixth in the league table at the moment with 20 points from 11 matches, just five points behind leaders Brighton & Hove Albion.

Meanwhile, Blackburn currently find themselves 15th in the Championship table with 11 points from as many games, just three points above the relegation zone.

Gary Bowyer’s side will head into Wednesday’s encounter on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Milton Keynes Dons away from home at Stadium:mk.
