Glenn Hoddle has wished Aston Villa midfielder Joe Cole well during his loan stint at Coventry City.
Cole completed a surprising move to Coventry last week, and he could make his debut for the League One outfit later this evening, in their match against Rochdale.
If he does play, it will be only the 33-year-old's second appearance of the season, and Hoddle is full of admiration for the attacking midfielder's attitude.
The former England manager has taken to Twitter to say that it is refreshing to see an experienced player go out in search of games, rather than just sit on Villa's bench and collect his money.
Great to see Joe Cole still hungry to play football and not just sit around at a prem club doing nothing. Wish him well @Coventry_City— Glenn Hoddle (@GlennHoddle) October 20, 2015
Cole appeared to have little chance of breaking into Villa's team under Tim Sherwood, with the 46-year-old boss clearly preferring to utilise some of his younger prospects.
And Cole decided that moving down the divisions would be his best option, with the former Chelsea man desperate to play football again.
If Cole can find anywhere near his best at Coventry, then he will be a brilliant signing for Tony Mowbray's side as they aim to secure promotion out of League One.
