Everton trio Steven Pienaar, Tom Cleverley and Bryan Oviedo have all been sidelined with injury this season.
Everton have confirmed on their official Twitter account that Steven Pienaar, Tom Cleverley and Bryan Oviedo will play for their under-21 side later tonight.
Everton take on Schalke in the Premier League International Cup at Goodison Park later this evening, and Roberto Martinez is looking to use the fixture to give some of his returning players a chance to enhance their fitness levels.
Cleverley has been out since September with an ankle injury, but he is preparing to step-up his comeback, with this match his first taste of action since he picked up the complaint.
The former Manchester United's man's return will be a boost for the Toffees, as they have missed his energy in midfield, during his time on the sidelines.
Oviedo, meanwhile, has suffered with a series of injury problems of late, and he has managed just three appearances so far this season.
Even that paltry amount is more than Pienaar has been able to play recently, though.
The South African has made just one appearance for Everton over the entirety of 2015, and he will be desperate to use these under-21 matches to get back up to speed.
