Danny Murphy provides a simple reason behind Harry Kane’s struggles

Defence - Spurs v Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has scored just one goal in the Premier League so far this season.

Danny Murphy said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is struggling to score goals because he is trying too hard.

While analysing Kane’s performance against Liverpool at White Hart Lane on Saturday, former Tottenham midfielder Murphy pointed out that he is getting into funny positions on the pitch and said: “I think he is trying too hard.”

Kane has scored just one goal in the Premier League so far this season and has not been in great form.

The England international striker took four shots against Liverpool at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Saturday, but he failed to find the net.

The youngster’s confidence, though, is as high as ever. The 22-year-old is not afraid to shoot, but for some reason it is not happening for him at the moment.

Perhaps Kane is trying too hard by going into positions that centre-forwards do not usually go to and by trying to be more involved in the game.
