The Celtic youngster may be the most exciting player in his age range at the club.
On Tuesday evening, Celtic’s under-19 side take on Helsinki in the second leg of their UEFA Youth League qualifying tie, and one player in particular has another chance to show first-team manager Ronny Deila exactly what he can do.
Aidan Nesbitt was the star of the show in the first leg, scoring a hat-trick in a 5-0 victory that leaves the young Hoops with one foot firmly in the next stage.
Celtic’s under-19 side will not be taking anything for granted but you can rest assured Nesbitt will be hoping to fill his boots once again.
With home fans cheering them on and the pressure most certainly off, expect this young Celtic side to show just what they are capable of, and 18-year-old attacking midfielder Nesbitt will see this as the perfect opportunity to further increase his already impressive reputation.
Nesbitt made his first-team debut for Celtic in the Scottish League Cup clash against Raith Rovers last month and just a week after his very brief cameo he went goal-crazy against Helsinki.
If he does that again, Deila will only be more certain that he has a real gem in his ranks…and one who could soon be getting more than a one-minute cameo for the senior side.
