Nacer Chadli faces missing Tottenham's fixture with North London rivals Arsenal early next month.
The Belgian international was substituted in the club's draw with Liverpool at the weekend, and faces a spell on the sidelines.
Chadli's ankle injury means he will be out of action for four weeks reported Sky Sports News last night.

The four plus weeks Chadli will miss will see him miss key games if the news is confirmed by Tottenham.
Immediately he is ruled out of this week's games with Anderlecht in the Europa League and Sunday against Bournemouth.
Early in November he will be a doubt for the match with Tim Sherwood's Aston Villa, with another clash against Anderlecht days later.
The key game he is set to miss would be the Premier League game with Arsenal at The Emirates on Sunday November 8.
There is then an international break before a fixture with West Ham on November 22, which may be a realistic comeback date for the attacking midfielder to aim for.
