Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio says he is not interested in speculation over a move to Liverpool, as quoted by Sport Mediaset.
Marchisio, 29, has been with Juve since the age of seven, and the Turin-born midfielder has racked up over 300 appearances for the club having carved out a key role - even when the club had midfielders such as Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal.
The Italian international has also made 52 appearances for his country, and is widely considered to be one of the finest midfielders in Europe.
Now, reports from Fichajes suggest that new Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring Marchisio to Anfield, with the German looking to improve his squad having arrived as Brendan Rodgers' replacement earlier this month.
Marchisio was asked about the speculation following Juve's 0-0 draw against Inter Milan on Sunday evening, and the Italian made sure that there was no doubt over his stance.
"Klopp is crazy about me and wants me at Liverpool? I do not care, I just signed a contract with Juventus," said Marchisio, as quoted by Sport Mediaset.
Many may feel that Steven Gerrard hasn't been replaced since leaving for LA Galaxy over the summer, and Marchisio would fill his role well - but having committed his future to the Serie A giants, it seems unlikely that he will be joining Klopp at Liverpool any time soon.
