Carl Jenkinson impressed with West Ham teammate Dimitri Payet

Arsenal warm up

Arsenal-owned West Ham United defender Carl Jenkinson speaks highly of teammate Dimitri Payet.

West Ham United defender Carl Jenkinson has been singing the praises of teammate Dimitri Payet on the club’s official website.

France international attacking midfielder Payet joined West Ham from Marseille in the summer transfer window and has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.

The 28-year-old has scored five goals and created 38 chances in nine league matches so far this season.

Payet has a pass accuracy of 81% and a shot accuracy of 82%, and has won one header, 22 dribbles and seven tackles.

England international right-back Jenkinson, who joined West Ham on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, is impressed with the Frenchman’s performances so far this campaign.

“The way we’re playing at the moment, with Dimi creating a lot himself and getting on the scoresheet, he’s doing fantastically well,” the 23-year-old told West Ham’s official website.

“Attacking-wise we have got so many options and have got such pace and a big threat going forward, so we’re causing teams problems at the minute.”

West Ham, who defeated Crystal Palace 3-1 on Saturday, are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from nine matches, just four points behind leaders Manchester City.

Slaven Bilic’s side have been superb so far this season, and the fans will hope that Payet continues to play well and lead the team to wins.
