The French winger has been an inspired addition to the West Ham fold.
The Frenchman has been in incredible form since joining The Hammers from Marseille this summer. Yesterday he scored as West Ham defeated Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
It was his fifth goal of the Premier League this season and he also has three assists to his name as he catches the eye at his new club.
The 27-year-old is clearly enjoying himself. He has taken to Twitter this afternoon to talk about his start to life in London and he is clearly looking forward to more impressive turnouts for the club.
Hey Hammers , A big thank you for your kind messages and the support I really appreciate.— Dimitri Payet (@dimpayet17) October 18, 2015
I can't wait for this new adventure to continue. Love you guys , bless— Dimitri Payet (@dimpayet17) October 18, 2015
The feeling is certainly mutual. Payet is the type of player Upton Park has been craving. A mercurial but often deadly option that would never have arrived at the club if Sam Allardyce was still in the management hotseat.
Hopefully the Frenchman's form can be rewarded with a high league finish and a much deserved call-up to the France national team.
