Chelsea are interested in signing Paco Alcacer from Valencia in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that the Blues will have to pay at least £50 million to secure the services of the Spanish striker.
Chelsea paid Liverpool £50 to sign Fernando Torres (now at his former club Atletico Madrid) in January 2011, as reported by BBC Sport at the time.
Good signing for Chelsea?
Alcacer is a very good and young striker, and could potentially become world class in the coming years.
The 22-year-old has already earned 10 caps for Spain and will be a key player for them at the Euro 2016 finals.
The youngster scored 11 goals and created 24 chances in 32 La Liga appearances for Valencia last season.
So far this campaign, Alcacer has scored just one goal and has created only one chance in seven league games.
While signing the Spaniard would be a good decision from Chelsea, he is simply not worth £50m.
