Newcastle United defeated Norwich City 6-2 at home in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury, but that is not preventing him from enjoying his team’s stunning win today.

The Magpies registered their first victory of the 2015-16 Premier League campaign this evening, as they got the better of Norwich City 6-2 at home.

The star of the show for the Magpies was Netherlands international midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, who scored as many as four goals.

Krul, who is also a Netherlands international, was watching the match on TV, and he was impressed with the performance of his compatriot.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park, hosts Newcastle had 44% of the possession, took 11 shots of which six were on target, and earned three corners.

The win means that Steve McClaren’s side are now third from bottom in the Premier League table with six points from nine matches.
