Jurgen Klopp could not inspire his Liverpool side to victory in his first match in charge but the German will have taken plenty of positives from their 0-0 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Liverpool looked shaky at the back at times but they held firm to keep the likes of Harry Kane and Clinton N’Jie at bay, and when the Reds’ players get used to their new boss’s style there should be a considerable upturn in form at Anfield.
With Joe Gomez ruled out for the rest of the season, Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno has now become significantly more important to the side and he started at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Moreno was used sparingly in the first few weeks of the Premier League campaign but he is now one of the first names on the team-sheet and considering his performance it seems the Spaniard has already bought into what Klopp wants to bring to Anfield.
Following the match against Tottenham we took to Twitter to see what Liverpool fans thought of Moreno’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Players who really bought into the system today. Alberto Moreno, Mamadou Sakho and Lucas. Thoughts? #LFC— Danny Gallagher (@Danny7Gallagher) October 17, 2015
