Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew gets the vote...
“Alan Pardew,” the former Tottenham star told The Daily Mail when asked who has been the best manager so far. “I fancied Crystal Palace to do well at the start and they have lived up to expectations.
"They made good signings, are a well-run club and Pardew has pushed them on with exciting, attacking football.”
"Last year he won a total of 57 points for Newcastle and Palace. The challenge was could he sustain that? Now Palace are fourth and nobody is relishing playing them.”
Redknapp and Keown gave their verdict just before the return of Premier League football this weekend (the article was published at 10:30pm on October 15, 2015).
Palace lost on Saturday, going down 3-1 to West Ham United at Selhurst Park in the Premier League.
However, the defeat should not detract from the fact that Pardew has done a sensational job at Palace.
The Englishman took charge of the Eagles in the middle of last season after leaving Premier League rivals Newcastle United.
Palace finished 10th in the league last season, and there is a very good chance that they could end up higher than that this term.
