Harry Redknapp says Daniel Sturridge would have made a difference for Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge was not fit for Liverpool’s Premier League game at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Harry Redknapp told BT Sport on Saturday afternoon that Liverpool would have won against Tottenham Hotspur had Daniel Sturridge played.

The Reds played out a goalless draw with Tottenham away from home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Former Tottenham manager Redknapp was following the match, and he told BT Sport during the post-match analysis: “If Sturridge had played today, I think they would have won the game. The quality he would have given them could have turned the game for them.”

Sturridge did not feature against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday due to injury. The England international striker was not even on the substitutes’ bench.

The former Chelsea man is a very good striker and one of the best players in the current Liverpool squad, and perhaps his presence in the team on Saturday would have made a difference.

Hopefully for the Liverpool fans, Sturridge will regain full fitness soon and will be able to start regularly for the Reds in the coming months.

The Merseyside outfit are challenging for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season, and they need the former Manchester City striker to be firing on all cylinders.
