The Tottenham Hotspur teenager has had his say after the scoreless draw against Liverpool.
Tottenham Hotspur drew 0-0 with Liverpool on Saturday as both sides returned to domestic matters following the latest international break.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino would have been desperate to make Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge of the Reds one to forget but ultimately the sides shared a point apiece.
Tottenham had slightly less possession than Liverpool on the day but the North London club had more goal attempts and more shots on target and they had some great chances to win the match only to see Reds’ goalkeeper Simon Mignolet in fine form.
Belgian international Mousa Dembele was particularly impressive on the day and he was ultimately crowned man-of-the-match but other Tottenham players also shone including midfielder Dele Alli.
The former MK Dons midfielder took to Twitter after the final whistle to have his say on the game.
“Frustrating draw today,” Alli wrote, “needed to be more clinical. But a solid performance by the team; onto the next one.”
Alli has been nothing short of brilliant since making his first-team debut for Tottenham this season and he already has 11 appearances under his belt, with one goal and one assist in that time.
The 19-year-old has also been rewarded with a call-up to the England squad and it will be interesting to see just what the rest of this campaign has in store for a player who has taken White Hart Lane by storm.
