Bournemouth looking at Ricardo Vaz Te

HITC Sport understands that Portuguese forward could be heading to the South Coast.

Bournemouth are ready to bolster their injury-hit squad and are considering the signing of Ricardo Vaz Te, HITC Sport understands.

The Cherries have been dogged by a spate of injuries this season, including long-term problems for forwards Max Gradel and Callum Wilson.

Now Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is looking at his options and is casting his eye over the 29-year-old, who is a free agent.

The former West Ham United star has already trained with Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion, while Sam Allardyce also has an interest in taking him to Sunderland.

However, Bournemouth have moved first to bring him in and he will continue to train with them next week while Howe can assess him.

Bournemouth, who won the Championship last season, are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with just eight points from nine matches.

The Cherries will take on Tottenham Hotspur at home in the league next weekend.
