Rio Ferdinand reacts on Twitter to Manchester United win, Michael Owen surprised

Manchester United defeated Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Rio Ferdinand has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Manchester United’s victory over Everton away from home on Saturday afternoon.

United returned to winning ways in the Premier League, as they got the better of the Toffees 3-0 at Goodison Park.

Louis van Gaal’s side took the lead as early as the 11th minute through former Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, who found the target from inside the Everton penalty box.

Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera doubled the Red Devils’ lead midway through the first half, and former Everton forward Rooney wrapped up the scoring just past the hour mark.

Former United defender Ferdinand has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the victory, while former Red Devils' striker Michael Owen has admitted his surprise at the result on the social networking site.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park, hosts Everton had 47% of the possession, took 12 shots of which just three were on target, and earned five corners.

Visiting United had 53% of the possession, took 10 shots of which seven were on target, and earned three corners.
