Report: Arsenal to make £7m bid for Aleksandr Kokorin in January

Arsenal Emirates

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Aleksandr Kokorin from Dynamo Moscow in the January transfer window.

Arsenal are interested in signing Aleksandr Kokorin from Dynamo Moscow in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

The British tabloid claims that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to make a £7 million move for the 24-year-old forward.

It has been reported by The Sun that the Gunners wanted to recruit the Russia international in the summer transfer window, but they failed.

Kokorin’s current contract with Dynamo runs out at the end of the season, and, according to the report, the Russian club “may cash in as they risk losing him for free in the summer”.

Good signing for Arsenal?

Kokorin is one of the better forwards in the Russian Premier League, and the £7 million transfer fee the Gunners reportedly have to pay for his services does not sound much.

Of course, there will be concerns whether the Russia international will be able to hit the ground running in the Premier League, but that is a risk that the Gunners will have to take.
