The striker has been out of action since the end of August.
Domestic football is back after it's weekend off for the international break and it is not just the fans that are excited about the return to regular action up and down the country.
Indeed the players are also buzzing to be getting back into it with their respective clubs.
Unfortunately for some they are not quite ready to get back into action. Connor Wickham is one such player. The Crystal Palace striker would of course love to be in action for The Eagles against West Ham United in the Premier League today but is still believed to be ruled out with a calf problem.
However he is still working on his fitness and it looks like today he has finally started getting back into action on the training ground.
Whilst the rest of the players will be preparing for the game with The Hammers at 3pm the Palace striker Instagrammed this message - suggesting he had switched his running shoes for football boots in his recovery process:
Wickham has not played since the 2-1 win against Chelsea at the end of August and Palace will be looking forward to seeing him getting into first-team action in the near future.
