Karren Brady and Matthew Etherington react on Twitter to West Ham win

West Ham United defeated Crystal Palace 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has taken to social networking site Twitter to express her delight at the team’s win against Crystal Palace away from home on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers returned to winning ways in the Premier League, as they got the better of Crystal Palace 3-1 at Selhurst Park.

Arsenal-owned defender Carl Jenkinson put West Ham in the lead midway through the first half, but just minutes later former Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye equalised for the Eagles from the penalty spot.

Dwight Gayle, who won the penalty, was shown a second yellow card just before the half-time interval for a foul on Cheikhou Kouyate.

Manuel Lanzini scored for West Ham in the 88th minute, before Dimitri Payet dinked his effort over Wayne Hennessey to seal victory for the visitors.

West Ham vice-chairman Brady was delighted with the win and has posted the following message on Twitter:

Former West Ham winger Matthew Etherington was also happy with the win in the London derby and reserved special praise for central defender James Collins.
