Liverpool failed to win the Premier League game at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

John Aldridge has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool played out a goalless draw with Spurs away from home at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.

It was new manager Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge of the Reds, and Liverpool great Aldridge was impressed with the performance of the team against Tottenham.

Former Liverpool defender Jim Beglin was also pleased with the display and posted the following message on Twitter:

Over the course of the 90 minutes at White Hart Lane, Liverpool had 52% of the possession, took 12 shots of which just three were on target, and earned six corners.

The Reds were impressive in the opening 10 or 15 minutes, as they pressed high and put the Tottenham defence under pressure.

Liverpool will now have to build on the performance and the final result against Tottenham.

There is a lot of work to be done, but Klopp will be pleased with the effort of his players and with the point they picked up at White Hart Lane.
