Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool played out a goalless draw at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has told the club’s official Twitter account that Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet was “outstanding” on Saturday afternoon.

Mignolet played an important role in Liverpool keeping a clean sheet in the Premier League encounter at White Hart Lane.

The Belgium international made as many as four saves, as the game in North London ended in a goalless draw.

Spurs defender Vertonghen was impressed with the performance of his Belgium international goalkeeper.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, hosts Tottenham had 48% of the possession, took 13 shots of which just four were on target, and earned eight corners.

Visiting Liverpool Liverpool had 52% of the possession, took 12 shots of which just three were on target, and earned six corners.

The goalless draw at White Hart Lane means that Tottenham are now seventh in the Premier League table with 14 points from nine matches.

Spurs are just three points behind fourth-place West Ham United and are very much in the running for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool currently find themselves 10th in the league table with 13 points from nine matches.
