Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel’s performance in the first half at White Hart Lane did not impress Jamie Carragher.

Jamie Carragher has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Martin Skrtel’s first-half performance for Liverpool against Tottenham Hotspur away from home on Saturday afternoon.

The Slovakia international defender started the Premier League game at White Hart Lane and played for the entire 90 minutes.

Although the match ended in a goalless draw, Spurs were arguably the better side and put the Liverpool defence under pressure on a number of occasions in the first half.

Former Liverpool defender Carragher was following the match, and he was far from impressed with the performance of Skrtel in the first 45 minutes.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at White Hart Lane, Skrtel took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 86%, won 50% of his tackles and 89% of his headers, and won four interceptions, six clearances and three blocks.

Liverpool had 52% of the possession, took 12 shots of which just three were on target, and earned six corners.
