Liverpool striker Danny Ings has taken to social networking site Twitter to wish his teammates the best of luck for today’s Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur away from home at White Hart Lane.
The former Burnley star has also thanked the Liverpool fans for their support over the past few days.
Good luck to the lads today. Wish I was there! Just want to thank everyone for their incredible support, means the world to me #YNWA— Danny Ings (@IngsDanny) October 17, 2015
Ings has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.
The England international suffered a cruciate ligament injury in his first training session with new manager Jurgen Klop earlier this week.
The Liverpool players who will feature in the encounter against Tottenham this afternoon will be looking to make an impression on Klopp.
It will not be easy for the Reds, though, as Tottenham are unbeaten in the Premier League since the opening day of the season.
Spurs are eighth in the league table at the moment with 13 points from eight matches, while Liverpool are two places and one point behind them.
