Talksport pundit Stan Collymore says Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez is 'simply world-class' as he drove his side on to a 3-0 victory over an impressive Watford side at Vicarage Road.
The talented forward has been on fire recently, scoring goals aplenty for both the Gunners and on the international stage with Copa America champions Chile.
Indeed, Watford had no answer to his brilliance during the second-half of their meeting on Saturday and his opening goal prompted a devastating 11-minute period which put the Hornets well and truly out of sight.
Taking to Twitter during the match, Collymore couldn’t hide his appreciation.
It was actually speculated before the match that boss Arsene Wenger may have rested Sanchez, due to his long trip to South America and two full 90-minute performances over the international break.
However, the former Barcelona man is unique in regards to his immense fitness levels and his attitude of wanting to play every game simply left the Gunners boss with little choice but to start him.
Sanchez’s strike takes his tally to six Premier League goals in eight matches, while boasting a rather stupendous five shots and 3.1 successful take-ons per encounter.
Keeping him and fellow attacker Mesut Ozil fit will be key to Arsenal’s title challenge this season, as not just their ability but their presence on the pitch helps to bring out the best in those around them.
