The Hammers have been preparing for the return of the Premier League this weekend, and one player has been hoping to fight his way back into the starting XI by impressing his teammates and head coach Slaven Bilic.
James Collins has played just five games this season, and has yet to start in the Premier League, but he scored an inch-perfect curling free-kick in training today, hoping to show off his talents to the watching players.

These players included Aaron Cresswell and Dimitri Payet, the two regular free-kick takers for the Hammers.
It is certainly a delightful goal, but scoring the free-kick is unlikely to do much to increase Collins’ chances of adding to his 30 minutes of Premier League action that he has to his name this term.
It is clear that he is far down the pecking order for the central defensive positions, with Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna and James Tomkins ahead of him, and the 32-year-old does not possess the same kind of versatility as the others to play in a different position.
He has been a fine servant to West Ham across his two spells at the Boleyn Ground, but it appears as if his time is up under Bilic’s management - regardless of all the classy free-kicks he can put in the back of the net during training.
