Report: Sherwood will turn to Gil and Grealish in bid to turn around Villa's fortunes

Trinity Road Stand - Aston Villa

The under-pressure Aston Villa boss will reportedly turn to the duo for the Chelsea clash.

Aston Villa head coach Tim Sherwood will turn to Carles Gil and Jack Grealish for the Chelsea clash this weekend, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Chelsea host Villa at Stamford Bridge and the away side's manager is set to bring Gil back into the fold, while he will also look to youngster Grealish.

The Telegraph report that the next two games will be crucial for Sherwood's job security.

If Villa's next two games are crucial to Sherwood's future, the coach may be rather worried.

Chelsea are a side out of form but a trip to Stamford Bridge is never easy. Southampton beat the Blues 3-1, while Crystal Palace also defeated Jose Mourinho's men away from home, but how many other sides have left the Bridge with points?

After that, Aston Villa host Swansea City and Sherwood will need to sort his tactical decision making out up against the efficient Garry Monk.

Turning to Gil is something Sherwood should have done more in the past but might it be a little too late now? Chelsea will play Villa at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
