Spurs' under-21 side emerged victorious in an entertaining encounter with Norwich City at Carrow Road last night.
Spurs took the lead on three occasions to overcome a spirited Canaries side, in what was a night of firsts for Ugo Ehiogu’s men.
16-year old Keanan Bennett scored the opener on his first appearance at under-21 level when he helped ensure a measured Filipe Lesniak drive found the net after seven minutes.
Norwich equalised through a Cameron Norman header from a corner on 16 minutes after an extended period of pressure.
It was an even encounter for much of the first-half, with chances at both ends, and it took until the second period for the third goal of the game.
18-year old Ryan Loft – making his first start for the under-21’s – finished excellently on the 66th minute when he clipped an inch-perfect Lesniak ball past the onrushing Norwich keeper.
The Canaries squared things up once again on the 76th minute when Jamie Eaton-Collins slid in to convert a Glenn Middleton cross.
Spurs pushed on for the winner and got their rewards with nine minutes on the clock after Zenon Stylianides’ picked out Anton Walkes to convert from 12 yards.
