Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Colossusbets.com that Arsenal will win Saturday’s Premier League game against Watford away from home.
“Watford are yet to concede a goal in open play at Vicarage Road this season, only being undone by a Cabaye penalty in a 1-0 home loss to Palace, and have clearly set out their stall to be hard to beat on their return to the Premier League,” Owen wrote on Colossusbets.com.
“But, while Arsenal can blow hot and cold and are often infuriating in front of goal, if the Gunners turn up in the same form as they were against Man Utd then Watford’s defence will be doing very well to hold firm.
“I go 2-0 to the Gunners as my main fancy, but I will also add in 1-0 and 2-1.”
Owen is backing Arsenal to pick up all three points this weekend, and most Premier League observers will agree with his prediction.
The Gunners have the better team and also got the better of Manchester United 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium in North London before the international break.
However, Arsenal should not get carried away, as Watford are doing better than expected in the Premier League at the moment.
Quique Sanchez Flores’s side are six points above the relegation zone, and have collected more than points than established top-flight sides like Newcastle United, Sunderland and Aston Villa.
While the Hornets may not be strong enough to win against the Gunners, they could use the home advantage to pick up a point.
