Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion go head-to-head this weekend.
Leeds United take on Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend and Uwe Rosler’s side are desperate for the three points.
If the Whites do not win on Saturday they will set a new club-record for games without a home victory, and yet it will be anything but easy against the current Championship leaders.
Here we take a look at three Leeds players who will be key if they are to ultimately come out on top:
Considering recent Leeds loan signing Will Buckley had such a poor debut for the club there is a chance he will not even start on Saturday, with Rosler preferring Jordan Botaka; but with two more weeks to build up his fitness, and with Brighton being his former club, the 25-year-old may be given another chance to impress.
Leeds need all their players performing to their full potential and that means Buckley needs to show he can have a long-term future at Elland Road.
Brighton may currently be top of the pile but they are not exactly running away with it and they have drawn their last three matches.
Prior to that they were winning by the odd goal and if Leeds striker Chris Wood can do what he does best he could prove to be the difference.
Teenage midfielder Lewis Cook has not had the same sort of impact as he did last season but he is such a talented footballer that the tide will turn in due course.
He needs to win the battle in midfield and if he can do that, Leeds could yet cause an upset.
