Tottenham teenager Dele Alli has passed on his best wishes to Liverpool ace Joe Gomez, after the defender was ruled out for the rest of the season.
Gomez, 18, had found a role in the Liverpool first-team, slotting in at left back immediately following his summer move from Charlton Athletic - despite mostly playing at centre back and right back for the Addicks.
Now though, Gomez looks set to be out for around nine months having suffered a suspected torn anterior cruciate ligament during the England Under-21's 3-0 win over Kazakhstan on Tuesday.
The injury is a huge blow for Gomez himself, as well as new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and all Reds fans, who had enjoyed Gomez's development in the early stages of the campaign.
Gomez will have great support from the Liverpool medical staff though, and he has also received messages of support from fellow players.
Tottenham teenager Dele Alli took to Twitter on Wednesday night to pass on his best wishes to Gomez, with the midfielder hoping that Gomez comes back as soon as possible.

Both Alli and Gomez are considered to be two of the best up-and-coming young players in English football right now, and whilst Alli is starring for Spurs and picked up his first England cap last week, Gomez has a long road to recovery from a very serious injury - and everyone will be hoping that he can come back to full fitness.
