Ronny Deila confirms five Celtic players could miss Motherwell match

Celtic have a lot of players currently on the treatment table.

Ronny Deila has confirmed at his press conference on Thursday, covered by the club's official Twitter account, that five Celtic players could miss this weekend's match against Motherwell.

Celtic are definitely without Charlie Mulgrew and Jozo Simunovic on Saturday, but they are also sweating on the fitness of Scott Brown, Leigh Griffiths and James Forrest.

However, it wasn't all bad news on the fitness front for the Bhoys, as Deila revealed that Stuart Armstrong will be back in contention.

Celtic's injury problems leave Deila with limited choices as to the make-up of his side's starting line-up.

Although the Bhoys do have one of the largest squads in Scotland, they will be disappointed to be without so many of their key players.

Celtic do have momentum on their side ahead of their match against Motherwell, though, as they have gone unbeaten in their last six games across all competitions.

Deila's men are currently chasing Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership table, but they could go top if results go in their favour over the weekend.
